Mary Pierce forum on this site. Saby has news about Mary. I do not know source but she wrote once something about Mary's cousin. Mary is living in Colorado now...

Guess the surgery didn't go that well after-all. More damage than previously expected.

I agree with you. It is too much work for her just to play a half of a season. It won't have any sense. It sounds like the end of her carrier

I agree but it will not be easy... There is no official news about Mary. So we know something about her from people who are around her...

The information comes from Tennis Magazine, a French Magazine on tennis.
The French team doctor says she will probably not come back in 2007, but well, personnally, I think that's a large target they talk about for the moment, she will probably come back by the end of 2007. And that's not Mary's talking... so let's wait! :bounce:

its a terrible shame, but those kind of injuries are incredibly serious, and more common than you would think-i almost did exactly the same thing she did the other day

add her to the list of retirements caused by injury:

Seles, Capriati, Pierce, and probally Davenport soon.

Is there a reason why you put a happy face smilie next to the subject title "Mary Pierce won't be back in 2007"?

I'm not a Pierce fan but that knee injury she sustained was brutal and I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

I am not happy too. I am just happy that she want to come back. I will wait this year and I belive that she will be playing again. That is my favourite player.

yeah i hate being pessimistic
but look what happened to monica
that one little foot sprain and she said she would come back and played some exhibitions, but age does play a factor

:tears: I hope that she can atleast have some sort of farewell tour. I am a huge fan of Mary aswell as Monica and Jen. None of them has had the opportunity to give a farewell tour to there fans  There i still hope for Mary though. I guess there is a slim chance for Jen aswell.

Mah-ree...

I guess the damage to her knee was worse that originally suspected. I hope she can come back, knowing Mary's personality she doesn't give up easy. She'll do everything in her power to try and come back.

Wishing you positive vibes Mah-ree. :)

Mary was on french tv tonight and she feels fine, we saw her doing her reeducation, the doctor comes to see her everyday, her mother is with her in colorado.

She will stay in colorado until february and then she will go to florida to do special tennis reeducation for her knee, the doctor said, Mary may be back for RG 2007 who knows!!! but she won't come back until she is not at 100%
