I saw the match. i must say sania played very good except for two games in second set when she became relaxed probably. happiest part is that she is fit now and can jump like steffi graf to hit forehands and can do anything with it. good!

c'mon shikha and sania win the doubles now and give us the gold.

sania played brilliant. if she continues like this and stays fit, we may see her enter top 20 next year itself. touch wood!

I was just following the match on scores in website. It looked like she lost a lot of 2nd serve points in the 1st set. Should we worry about them or they were just concidental (in the sense the other girl player those points really well)?

many times her second serves were short. she adds spin in them but i would say her serves( both first and second ) are still a weakness against capable players. but good news is that she is now much fast nd fit, her defense has gone a notch above, she can handle spins, slice all rather easily and playes more matured tennis. she has added drive volley to her weapons and looks more comfortable at net. and her footwork has also improved ( its partly due to fitness and partly mentality coz she is now ready for any number of returns). her serve action has improved but these are still slow and attackable.

c'mon sania and shikha!

I'm not really keen on this shikha girl as I see no future for her. Although I'd root for her whenever she plays Fed/Hopman Cups and Asiads. But I want at least one QF in a GS next year from Sania. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Great news, thanks. Hope she and Shikha wins the doubles and bring in the team gold. The men's team sucked, with the Leander-Mahesh feud coming out in the open.
There is no Asian games telecast here, would have to follow the results from website.

Congrats Sania. :yeah: .Keep up the winning streak.
Congrats to Taiwan. especially thier doubles players.
Coming into this tournament we are clearly underdogs. I'm pleased with the effort put up by our players. India rely too much on Sania and LP/MB. It's time for other players to step up and start competiting.

Sania plays really well in the whole team event.Very Impressive Sania. :yeah:Good for her in 2007.
Yung-Jung  You guys talked about the weakness of Sania's serve. But I think the one who should work more on her serve is Yung-Jan.You can see that on ace and serve speed stat. :tape: Anyway keeping going Yung-Jan!Learn a lesson from every single match. You're still young.Good luck in the future.
