This is the scoreline of their match in New Orleans.

Hi, I'm new!

I got this from Serenawilliams.com.

This is what a user named "SW'sBiGGeSTfan" said:

" Venus wins 5-7 6-4 10-6 (3rd set 10 pt. tiebreak). Overall I was in shock and how great they look. They are even more beautiful in person than on t.v. As far as fitness goes, Venus looks to be her tip top shape and has even put on a lil muscle i would say. She was hitting the forehand beautifully tonight and her 1st serves were either aces or unreturnables. As for the backhand, she did not hit a single two hander all night. She sliced every backhand. I was really impressed with her new shot. I think its gonna set up some great forward movement into the net and establish new ways for her to win points. However, I do not think she will win the AO without a two handed backhand. But if her wrist reaches 100 percent by Jan. and she implements the slice into her repertoire, then she stands an amazing chance. As for Serena, she is looking almost as fit as ever. I'd say if she keeps it up then by Hobart she will be perfect. Her groundstrokes were in great shape and her forehand held up very well. However, she served extremely slow and Venus destroyed her 2nd and sometimes 1st serves. I'd say she averaged in the low 90s for 1st serves. She also seemed very tired at the end of the match. Throughout the match she was extremely quiet and disconnected from the audience. Venus however, pulled 2 people out of the audience to "coach" her and one person ( a young boy) to play a game against Serena when Venus was down 7-5 4-1. Serena showed no mercy. But Venus spoke to us several times on the mic and was extremely entertaining. Overall I think that at this rate both of them are moving forward into one of the best seasons of their lives. If Venus can fully recover the wrist and Serena can regain her serving prowess and finish the last few goals of her fitness then we're looking at a Williams dominated year."

I don't know what to think to be honest.

I really don't understand how anyone can analyze any player's condition game wise from watching these type of matches. You have to realize that all players hold back in these events.:) Since day one of this tour I haven't put too much stock into the results. I'm just glad they are raising money for charity.:D

Serena may be holding back even more because she knows venus can't return the booming serves and was contributing to the entertainment.

Rena getting fit is the key im glad its only the service she'll be fine when she arrives in Hobart

I'm happy Venus won. Even though it was for charity, Serena does not need to get in her head. LOL. Venus may be just being precautionary with the wrist and doesn't want to risk any unecessary strain on it for just an exhibition match. I wish they would come to Indianapolis!

Anyway glad to see them both on the court as this provide a bit more optimism for next season. Happy that Vee is enjoying herself and doesn't seem to be bothered much by the wrist. Good that she won a match but more importantly her game seem to be coming along.:D

That's awesome! And the fact that it was in New Orleans makes it even better. That city has endured so much heartache and trauma over the last year and a half...it's good to see them get some first-class entertainment for once! But looks like some good stuff from the sisters. I hope Venus's wrist gets better. :yeah:
