And she isn't playing a Tier IV in Aukland.

Are you sure this isn't her schedule from 2006?
Maybe they're in the process of updating her site and only got as far as changing the name of the link?

Wow well only 6 rest weeks in a year (assuming she reaches the 2nd week of the Grand Slams, which is likely) seems crazy. That's one full schedule!

Nadia won both of the green clay tournaments after Miami. The draws are much easier than Warsaw.

The name of the tournament in Rome might have been changed, but there is no tournament in Montreal next season. It's in Toronto. Something is up.

Nadia plays Doha and Dubai, then Miami, AI, and Charleston.
Do you want her to add IW to that schedule?

She must be a Beatles fan. ;)

Back In The U.S.S.R.
The Beatles
(Lennon/McCartney)

Oh, flew in from Miami Beach B.O.A.C.
Didn't get to bed last night
On the way the paper bag was on my knee
Man I had a dreadful flight
I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boy
Back in the U.S.S.R. (Yeah)

Been away so long I hardly knew the place
Gee it's good to be back home
Leave it till tomorrow to unpack my case
Honey disconnect the phone
I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boy
Back in the U.S.
Back in the U.S.
Back in the U.S.S.R.

Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
Leave the West behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout
That Georgia's always on my my my my mind

Yeah I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boys
Back in the U.S.S.R.

Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
Leave the West behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout
That Georgia's always on my my my my mind

Oh, show me around your snow-peaked mountains way down south
Take me to your daddy's farm
Let me hear your balalaika's ringing out
Come and keep your comrade warm

I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
Hey you don't know how lucky you are boys
Back in the U.S.
Back in the U.S.
Back in the U.S.S.R.

Dec 6th, 2006, 04:18 AM
Are we sure there isn't a event somewhere called the REST INTERNATIONAL TENNIS TOURNAMENT? ;)

Maybe Nadia thinks it's easier to book way in advance at tournaments than ask for a last minute wildcard, and get the shaft like Lindsay did in Montreal?

PLP
Dec 6th, 2006, 06:12 AM
Didn't Nadia play 25 tournaments last year? Even if this is her real schedule, I hope she dumps 3 or 4 of these (though I know she won't) 21 or 22 is still a few more than most of the other top players. She doesn't NEED to play so much. I love you Nadia! :hearts: Please take care of yourself!!!
