What happened? Are you talking about the cough syrup? Why would that cause problems between Elena and Igor?

i believe the tension began when Svetlana criticized on Dementieva's reaction after beating her somewhere in 2004 (after US Open of course) everything has gone worse @ Australian Open. Dementieva was asked about doping rumours @ Belgium month ago and she insisted her and Nathalie Dechy is clean but refused to comment on Kuznetsova situation. then the medias started to stir up by saying Dementieva had given a hint about Kuznetsova doping during that exhibition.

from that moment i thought they will never be friends anymore

That's not true. Lena would much rather have Sveta on the Fed Cup team than USharapova.

Lena has indicated in more recent interviews that she has a pleasant relationship with Sveta. I don't think they are best buds, but whatever bad blood there was between the two (and at one point ED made it clear there was) has been resolved.

I don't know how they worked things out, but apparently they did.

Lena and Sveta just sat down together and did a long interview. They get along fine.

svrta said elena acted like she had won a slam after lena demolished her in 2004 moscow qfs. then the belgium incident. at ao 2005, lena said something about how she didn't want to talk about sveta or something. then at moscow 2005 elena said she had vowed to svetlana after sveta lost to schiavone that fran wouldn't win another match.

tada. done fighting.
