Whilst Amy Frazier has played for a long time, she never really plays in many events.

Most matches played is more important, as it means consistently going deep into the draws.

which is exactly what these 3 players have done, on average, more consistently than anyone else on the tour in the last decade. Averaging 25 WTA/GS events per year (qualifying, ITF challengers, and Fedcup NOT included!) for 10 years is phenomenal.

And, to your point, who has played more WTA matches than these 3 in the past 10 years? I doubt anyone has - *maybe* Davenport, but i don't think so.

Amy Frazier (173)

Amy doesn't play a really heavy schedule, also her ranking hasn't always stayed high enough to play only WTA events.

not "very soon". Ten years is a long time in tennis. Many players are able to play a heavy schedule for 3-4 years. But to do it for a decade is much more rare. I doubt Bartoli and ALG can keep that pace up.

They must all have incredible coaches. :tape:

actually Likhovtseva's situation is quite similar to Patty's - she has a non-tennis-playing, non-employed husband who got a tight hold over her at a young age and didn't let go, eventually becoming her official coach.

I know nothing about Sugiyama.
