How does this work? It's obviously a team event, so are there singles and doubles matches or something? Like Fed Cup ..

Ideally, India should be where Kuwait is to make the draw a bit more balanced... Was this done at total random, as opposed to having seeds? Surely if it was done by seeding/ranking it would make for a more interesting competition?

hate the draw, so unbalance between top & bottom half.

CHN/INA/UZB/IND/THA in the top half :fiery:

and only JPN/TPE in the bottom half :o :tape:

defending champion: Indonesia will not even win a medal this year :sobbing:

stupid draw.... :fiery:

If Indonesia is in Kuwait's draw, there might still be a chance for bronze medal :o

China is the top seed.Japan,Taiwan,Thailand are the 2nd,the 3rd,the 4th respectively, decided by the 2 highest-ranked players from each country. All other match-ups (including byes) are drew at random. ;)
Really winnable situation for Taiwan. :D I'm looking forward to JPN vs TPE! Go Taiwan and go Japan ( at least for the second round... ) .(btw Lu/Wang(TPE) def. Bhupathi/Paes(IND) 6-2 6-3 in the deciding third rubber... :yeah: don't know if Paes has some problems... )

You're welcome. :) The web-site's very good. It has real-time results & live scores for all events, not just tennis. Oil money sure talks. :worship:

Both single players can play the doubles. But you still need at least 2 good players. India's prospects are not good, I must say.

Well anyways when will singles draw come out??As far as I know the draw is on the first page, it's not a regular singles draw, it's a country draw. Each round there's 2 singles and a doubles to determine the winner.

Yung Jan Chan d. Manar Al-Jazaf 6-0, 6-0
