Im kinda mad that they let zheng play instead of peng. but since the asian games arent that big of a deal its ok. but i wonder who the chinese consider better. i dont agree with saying zheng jie cuz she has a higher rank now because thats like saying megan or laura granville is better than serena because they are higher ranked rite now.

at the moment zheng is better than peng as she has been the more consistent with her results on the tour this year than her, plus she won a title something peng wasn't able to do. but i like peng's game better than zheng's though.

The better question would be...when will you stop making pointless threads? :)

Just because Peng might hit the ball harder than Zheng doesn't mean she is the better player. Zheng is more consistent, quick around the court and uses more court sense than Peng does.

Jie deserves to be there.......

In the long run, if both players play close to their potential, Peng would no doubt have the upper hand, but currently Zheng is too consistent whereas Peng hasn't strung up any good results in recent times.

Peng nearly never plays a tiebreak.
Very rarely. Check it and learn it!

Zheng is more consistent off the ground, doesnt make as many errors and can execute at net a little better, well actually a lot better. Also moves very well side to side and up the court as well.

Peng is a lot more erratic, but her groundstrokes have more width and depth. First serve has a little bit more pace, and plays very close to lines, very dangerous margin for error.

If both were playing each other at their best, i'd give the edge to Peng who would probably hit through zheng better.

but zheng may be more consistant but she really has nothing to threaten the top players with.l Zheng used to have a double forehand too but she just changed it. Zheng is not a better net player in my opinion have u seen her miss all those easy volleys against tati and clijsters. Zheng has to be faster because she doesnt hit that hard.

I think that Peng can be a better player, but zheng at the moment is a more consisten player...
