Hi everyone!

Yesterday I attended an opening at the Atlantic Hotel, The Hague (Kijkduin), The Netherlands. That's at the coast of the Netherlands, and every year there is a project with large balls being put in between the dunes, which at night give (coloured) light. This year, a group of sportsmen & -women painted a group of balls, among which one of them was Kristie Boogert! Her painted ball was one of the nicest! During the opening she gave a speech and told, unfortunately she had to quit her tennis career 3 years ago due to the same injury as Van Basten, but in her elbow. She was the only sports person there (all the others had to train), and I was the only tennis fan there! :) (since I didn't get much of a response when I told I was a huge tennis fan ) I was excited and got a warm feeling, seeing & being so close to a real pro tennis player (during off season and while missing tennis), which came as a total surprise!
You can go watch the ball Kristie Boogert painted at the boulevard.

I remember Boogert giving JHH such a tough match on court 2 at Wimby 01.

Well I could have gone and seen the ball on the boulevard...if it had been done in June. grmbl. It's really close to where my friend lives too! (15 mins walk).

Loved watching Kristie play on grass. She looked incredibly natural on that surface. Too bad she wasn't a bigger star before she retired.

If you knew how to pronounce her name correctly, you wouldn't be making that joke. :p

It's like "Boh-gert", not Boo-gert, making it boogers... :p
