It is such a shame that injuries have ruined the career of another young player. Hopefully that talent will not be entirely wasted

hopefully she will come back.
when i first saw her play i thought she was destined for the top 20, then she got injured, then cameback, then injured again, then cameback again, then got injured again....

Georges Mikaelian is a fucking idiot who never should have been her coach (largely to spite the SUI Fed, which assigned Kuharszky to work with Myriam instead). As Ana's experience showed, Zoltan is ova rated anyhow.

i suspect the collapse of Mikaelian's career has been due as much to bad management as to injuries. She has missed nearly 3 full seasons now, and players rarely return from that kind of layoff.

That both Mikaelian and Casanova would turn out to be total flops is quite surprising.

Does anyone know why she was injured so much just like Casanova??? Is it a coinsidence both aren't exactly looking very fit? No hating here...:)

She reached the quaters of Zurich in one of her debut events and beat lenaD in straights and panova and lost to Capriati in 2 really tight sets when Capriati was ranked no1 i think, the next yr she won tashkent and was ranked inside or around the top 30, alot of ppl really thought she was gonna be top 20 maybe even top 10

I saw Marie play at Antwerp last year and lose to Mandula in Round Two qualifying, she didn't play too well and it was obvious she was struggling with injuries

Aww. She was really talented. And yeah, like lenavee I only remember watching her play Venus in Wimbledon 04 and get destroyed (before Venus's disastrous loss to Sprem ) I think she made the Gold Coast final. Not sure though because I think I saw that match but she lost.

Both could have done big things for Swiss tennis.
