Your best bet would be EBAY.com . Although...expect to pay between $2,500 and $3,000! The list price is $500...but good luck finding that in a regular store untill well into 2007!!

I don't understand why they make them so hard to find.

Surely Sony would want to have plenty of stock before the launch. Weird.

I don't have a problem with older people playing video games. What I find disturbing is that people in their 20's, 30's, 40's camp outside of these stores to purchase a game console. On my way to work I saw a big crowd outside my nearest electronic retailer with sleeping bags. I then asked myself: Do these people have jobs?

Well I have heard that there were only about 50 of the systems shipped to the Best Buys in my area. So once they're gone, they're gone until the next shipment comes into the locations. The next shipment will probably be a week out from Christmas too, just to boost sales.

And the fact that they're in "limited supply" in a sense it creates more demand and more drama, hence the people camping out in tents to get their hands on one of these.

they're selling them on ebay. I don't blame them. If they can get 300-400% return on the thing and they have the time to wait in line why not?
