She was brilliant at the olympics in Athens in 04 should have won the bronze in the all round shes still only 18 but her results have stalled ever since really, i think just missing the bronze medal hurt her, she was robbed in my opinion, has anyone else got any other ideas  here she was at the 04 Olympics

I really think Anna was robbed of bronze in 2004. That was an amazing meet for her. She absolutely nailed bars and floor. Her vault had a small hop and small form errors but she did the double twisting yurchenko which already gave her an advantage over a lot of the competition. Her beam is so difficult and she hit it right on and got her connections, the only question would be her dismount getting full credit. Its just too bad. I think since then she just hasnt bothered to get back to that form or to try and peak. I hear a lot of times she isn't always in the gym and many times people wonder if she will be back in time for competition. Maybe she is saving herself and pacing to 2008 and doesnt want to wear down her body. Could be smart. I suspect if she is serious about getting back to top form we will see a glimpse of it at next years Worlds. She can't wait too long or the judges will cast her aside.
