Well done Rossana!

Great win for her since she was coming off a qualifying defeat in $75K Pittsburgh last week, which Wozniak won.

KEEP GOING!!!

I figured this would happen...Alex has been playing too much lately. So it's hard to tell if this was a good win by Rios or not. I mean i've seen Rossana play Myskina in 2005 in Philly so i know what she is capable of. But i think we should wait to see how Rossana does in her next round match before getting too excited.

Oh, Rossana still plays?! Yay!! Did she give birth to a child again or? :) Remember some cool Wimbledon games of hers. Happy to see her winning at least, hehe

I saw part of today's match. De los rios played very well. Her groundstrokes were blazing. Wozniak played like a young player who had just won a big tournament and was having a letdown, especially mentally. She just didn't seem willing to fight and couldn't summon up the willpower to play good tennis when she needed it. Plus, she lost a very close set, and the conditions were deplorable -- 50 degrees and a wind chill that made it feel like freezing temperatures. Still, all credit to Rosanna. Her husband and daughter were watching, and she was very happy with the win. She was to play Haynes later in the day, but I had to leave.

nice me too. I probably saw you there and didn't realize it, especially for how small the tournament is.

Yeah.:D Did you see Amy Frazier beat Nicole Vaidisova ?? I think Lilia Osterloh also played that day. I also saw Chanda Rubin and Meg play one year :D M aybe i am getting my years confused though. I went all years when the Philly tourney came back ! I hope it comes back again someday
