If yes, is it helping?

For me it is very helping because in a tense match you have the feeling that you are not alone out there.

I don't think it is helping me, but I like to be watched... Usually I play better when someone comes to watch me.

well you have to have a good relationship to that person. If my coach watches, I normally don't feel that comfortable but when my dad coaches me during matches it is a lot better feeling and I don't feel that much pressure.

i hate when my parents watch me play so i dont have eye contact with them. my coach never watches my matches that much. and if i have friends watching it depends on how close i am to them and how relaxed i am.
through playing concerts in front of thousands of people i have got used to not focusing on individual people just to have a kinda glazed stare.
usually in a match i talk to myself so much i don't need anyone else around, plus if i feel tense and wanna try and relax i just do something stupid likee hit myself across the head with the frame of my racket or hurdle the net and rugby tackle my opponent when chasing a drop shop. that usually helps

I used to hate having people watching me. Now, I just love having someone to look at when it goes really well or really bad
