Kournikova - for being the most beutiful girl to have stepped on the court and influencing loads of girls.

Sprem - For having the most suggestive surname ever and causing very funny moments with tv commentators pronouncing her name wrong.

Mirza - For her miraculous business success for buying a mansion without even reaching top 30.

Stevenson - For achieving the biggest fluke in history and entertaining people for 2 years by thinking that she is the queen of grass courts.

Rubin - for only being a very nice girl.

You can add more to this list :)

Pam Shriver is in, so you have to count doubles results.

I was on the Hall of Fame website and there are three categories for new enshrinees.

"Master Player" - eg. Navaratilova, Sampras

"Recent Player" - eg. Gabriela Sabatini

"Contributors" - eg. Commentators, Coaches

Some might laugh but I believe Anna Kournikova should go in the tennis hall of fame as a contributor to the sport and it's noteriety.

If Sania Mirza can be in the HOF...I think Natasha Zvereva should also be inducted based on her doubles success.

Maybe Amy Frazier should be considered also...but yea right.

If players who have no Slams but can be in the HOF, then there should be more catagories....

"Tallest / Shortest Players"
"Skinniest / Fattest Players"
"Biggest / Smallest Players"
"Most Beautiful / Ugliest Players"
"Craziest Players"
"The Bridesmaid (players who keep reaching the Finals, but didn't win a darn thing)"
"Best On-Court Grounts / Shouting"

Who, in God's name, ever thought that she was ever the queen of grass, never mind for two years?

Anna K, since she brings huge publicity to the sport than many multi-slam winners. Other than her, I don't see any worthy candidates atm.

Thanks to Pam Shriver and Jana Novotna, Zvereva will get in. She has a boatload of doubles majors.

I think that in order to be in HOF, you have to win at least one slam or/and be ranked #1. Or #2 for several years...

Amanda Coetzer the little engine that never could but did, and the greatest African player of all time IMO. Ranked #3, one of the tiniest players to have ever played (only player to d. Graf, Hingis and Davenport while they were ranked No. 1) qualified for season-ending Championships for nine straight year(93-01). Has 568 career wins in singles and 270 career wins in doubles. Has wins over Venus Williams, Mauresmo, Justine, Capriati, Vicario, Martinez, Seles, Sabatini, Fernandez, Novotna, Pierce and almost all top players.

Natasha Zvereva doubles queen, possibly one of the most succesful doubles careers as well as a solid singles career. Reached a final in which she got double bageled. Holds second-longest Grand Slam doubles sweep in Open Era with Gigi Fernandez, winning six consecutively from 1992 Roland Garros through 1993 Wimbledon (Navratilova/Shriver won eight consecutive Grand Slam titles from 1983 Wimbledon through 1985 Roland Garros, including a doubles calendar-year Grand Slam sweep in 1984)
In terms of Grand Slam womens doubles titles, her 18 wins make her the fifth most prolific champion of all-time; her 20 Grand Slam titles overall ranks her equal 14th all-time
Ranked among the Top 10 players in the world in singles 1988-89 and 1994-95
714 Career wins in doubles and 434 in singles

Nathalie Tauziat, long, long career achieving the best in her last couple of years, A final at WB, #3 ranking, one of the last true serve and volleyers to be succesful on the tour. Than lets not even mention her personality. In 2001 finished fifth on the Open Era list of most career wins on grass 112.
Amazing doubles Career. 606 career wins in singles and 525 in doubles.

anyone with no slams does not deserve to be in the HOF unless they have a category for meritous service.
