ST. Pete, Florida. Anyone live near here or in the area? a few questions.

In the next year I am planning on moving to this city. I love the culture in Florida and the beautiful waterways. It was going to be either New City or Clearwater/St Pete. Even though I love the city I love the gulf/beach alot more.

So anyway, can you tell me what is it that you love about St Pete? Any info regarding the neighborhoods,the cable programs (ex) can you get the tennis channel? The crime? I must say, I love what they offer in the arts and culture. They have alot of parks. I fell in love with Fort De Soto park this past July.

I'm researching alot of my own but I would like to speak with a local.

I have to say I don't know the area well but things you should consider for moving to live is : cost of living, is the job market good for your field of choice, what is the diversity like in terms of racial, socio-economic make-up. There is my input.

I researched all those that you listed. The job market is excellent and the area is diverse. In fact the area is expected a 16% employment increase.

Come on Floridians can you help me with the city? Any locals at all?? I'm just starting my research but would like some quick info. Like where are the better neighborhoods for the buck. :wavey:
