In this thread you can propose or suggest any changes that should be made in 2007 that we can all discuss on then.
Things like how many matches are enough, so set ratios aren't needed etc.

Brainstorm away! :D

I agree. We should attempt to replicate the WTA as much as possible imo.

Challengers in the 2nd week of a Grand Slam and Challengers after the WTA Tour season... and maybe a challenger in a week where´s only 1. WTA tournament :wavey:

For gumoll and SloKid: You both play challengers in the ATP Forum whyyou both won´t have challengers here when the season is over? :wavey:

the new points are good

i think a number of matches should be set where set ratios are not needed anymore(i thought it was 8 this year, but some managers didnt follow that)

challengers are definitely a good idea imo, especially when ppl are forced to play qualifying, they could opt for the challengers instead
i dont really like challengers in the 2nd week of a grand slam though, dont think its that fair as someone could like lose in the 4th round of a gs and then play a challenger and end off better than someone who made a qf

So here are the new rules if everyone agrees:
- no set ratios needed if there are more than 8 matches played
- and in the wake of recent "discoveries" a player must have at least 100 posts and has to be a member for at least 3 months, before being able to play
- challengers are included on a trial basis

Does everyone agree with these new additions?

I agree with the first point and the third one.
But I don't understand why poster has to be a member of this board for at least 3 months?

We had a couple of cases of people (well one person really) creating multiple accounts in order to cheat. This rule would somehow limit such attempts in the future.

Can this be effective as at week 2 please - some members who are less than 3 months old or have less than 100 posts are already in doubles teams and doubles only starts in a few days time

I am wondering if we should start the Auckland and Gold Coast tournaments on Tuesday instead of the Monday, 'cause i highly doubt a lot of people will think about sending their points on the 1st of January right before (or after) partying for the new year (if i wasn't a manager this week i know i wouldn't :help: ).

I think that seems a sensible thing to do.

There is more than 64 players committed to TT AO, i was thinking about doing qualies. The first round of TT is the first round of the AO (day 1 + day 2). Qualifications could be on day 1, players with the best score at the end of the day would move to the main draw and would play on day 2 for a spot in the second round. The score of their day 1 would be added to their score of the day 2 and would be their score of their first round main draw, thus they would have picked on as many matches as the others pp who already were in the main draw.

Sounds good?
