Y'all "forgot" to mention he's a convicted gang member wanted on other warrants and that he was resisting arrest, and that he was reaching for one of the cop's guns before the clip started.

I don't care if he was the devil . The LAPD has a serious problem with using excessive force on unarmed individuals -- and they make up lies when they are caught.

Even if what you say is true, it's not up to the cops to beat him or kill him. Their job is to arrest him and let the judicial system punish him. This is what demorcracy is about, isn't it.

I guess your motto is "F**k 'em, and then kill em." right Seelsfan70?

The duty of law officials isn't to hand out punishment on the spot!!
Even the officer on the left knew enough to hold his asshole partners arm through some of the punches.

There are certain select few on this board who'd greatly benefit from a deeeep tanning and being dropped off in front of the LAPD building.
I'd like to see them make it home a la "The Warriors" circa 1979 film.

GOD, I hate cops!

And you'd be at the top of the list defending them. You are so transparent. I also don't see anything funny about racism or police brutality.

What do you expect? They are just cops.. You don't take this kind of job if you are good for anything else.. But that is good for those with inferiority complex and sick obession of exerscizing their power over others..

I KNOW a lot of cops. My in-laws are, and studying to become detectives. One of my best high school buds was a cop [and quit]. My Brother set records during his exam portion of the OPD trails. A brutha here at my apartment complex [and I] discussed his eventual hiring on with the Richmond police force after he also passed OPD's tests and was told that he would be starting soon. Still no word from the OPD.
I've dealt with cops all my life, and you summed them up better than I could, ys.
People don't realize that a good, kind, intelligent, and socially moral cop is the exception rather than the rule. And most don't realize that many cops are straight out of the military. In other words, they get hired because they are already f*cked in the head and prepared to kill. My brother also scored the highest on his verbal, and answered ALL the question during the last interview portion of his test. And guess what, he wasn't hired. No surprise there. Even a couple of the interviewing officers said that his hiring on was a certainty. To this day, he still doesn't understand why they didn't hire him. But he and I both know.

God I hate cops!

Once they have the suspect pinned down to the ground why does the officer continue to hit him in the face? This is the shit I'm talking about, and people wonder why minorities are skeptical of the police? SMH I guarentee you this happens daily in certain areas.

This is why we used them for target practice in my old 'hood. We got tired of seeing our family and friends shot and killed, and our mothers burying their sons shot for having a damn hair comb in their back pocket. :fiery:

Power corrupts.

Police in general seem to think they're above the law, it's a terrible disease that we need to cure.

Bush spends billions of USA tax dollars overseas under the pretense of promoting justice. Yet, nothing is done to prevent wholesale brutality of Black or Hispanic men on the streets of Los Angeles and other major cities throughout the country. If one of Saddam's police did this type of brutality on a Kurd some right wingers would demand that he be shot. Well, to make things even how would you feel if the UN sent in troops to shoot LA cops?

It's a good bet that those same right wing critics wouldn't be too happy about that.

This guy is huge, have you seen him?

What was he arrested for?
Picking flowers?
Smiling?

Not quite.

If you resist, you get pushed down
until you comply.

He's a punk. The LAPD does a lot of things wrong, but,
we're only seeing part of the transaction. He resisted
for some time before that according to people there, even
those on his side.

The LAPD is the target of gang attacks while in their
cars, in the street, everywhere they go in LA. It is
the smallest police force in the nation for a major
city. They can't do all they're asked to do.

LAPD brutality...why would anyone bother to be a cop ever in
Los Angeles, you're presumed guilty of wrongdoing.

I know there are plenty of sheriffs and cops that are jerks and
power freaks. There are bad apples. But, I' m not ready to
convict these two cops for this brief on camera incident so quickly.

Don't worry...it's LA, he'll get a big payday. The LA City Council
always pays off big.
