View Full Version : What are the ethnic origins of Anna Chakvetadze?

The name Chakvetadze does not sound like a "classic" Russian surname who usually finishes in -ova, -eva or -ina (for the female)

I know that the typical Ukrainian surname doesnot finish in -a (like -ko or -ukh), but Chakvetadze does not sound Ukraininan either.

It's more like a Georgian name or something else..... :scratch:

Her father is Georgian, her mother is Ukrainian but Anna was born and has always lived in Moscow.
