Its odd with Mary. Just when she gets on a roll, she seems to be injured again. She wins the 2000 French title, and then? She has back problems.

Last year, out of no where really, she reaches the French final, and then continues that play . . . QF of Wimbledon (amazingly second set with Venus), wins San Diego, Finals of US Open, wins Moscow, Finals of YEC . . . only to be injured most of this year.

I hope she gets back to being 100%, because a fit Pierce is still so dangerous with her huge ground game.

Dont worry Ai will be fine. She didnt play bad. It was a very close match. I love both these players, but I wanted Mary to win coz she need it more. Could not have asked for a better score, its not like Ai was blown off the court ,and also Mary closed it out in str8 sets, so now she wont be that tired tomorrow. Perfect for me! :)

mary was playing great she was basicaly dominating every point with an error or winner.in the first set tie brake mary hit two amazing passing shots
