Karin Knapp :) She really impressed me a lot in Luxembourg

Agnieszka Radwanska will break the Top 30 next year, IMO.

this American player in the top 100, Serena something or other. She reached the 4th round of the US Open, and I'm hoping she can build on that next season. Maybe she'll get to the top 50. Although I don't wanna be too optimistic ;)

radwanska & her sister - both talented young sisters & players. think we should also watch out for rezai, she has a very promising game 2 me & also the ever-improving li na.

everybody is waiting for Li Na for 3 years now and nothing is coming
Chinese players are soooo overrated!

I think some "new" russian players will make noise like Vesnina, Chakvetadze, Voscoboeva...
also Serena Williams I think
and Jankovic will be top5

Agnes Szavay and Urszula Radwanska.

really hope so from both. I thought Agi would do better thisy ear, but then I read that she's been ill, and now she's doing really well in the USA challengers. :D

And Ula should do good next year too...Aga is already doing good, and is well on her way up.

Rezai has also shown promise (thought still a bit up and down)...

Hmm also Paszek and maybe Pavlyuchenkova... (but maybe she will be for 2008).

ok fair enough but i still believe that li na has the game 2 reach top 10 & achieve some success in her career. yes russian players will come up & i can already see that happening in 2007. dunno bout jankovic being in the top 5 in 2007 if she can improve on her mental attitude & stop worrying about line calls etc. but we shall wait & see.

You could be right with Li but I see more good things in Zheng's game. I think she's the best of all the chinese girls. Jie could reach top 15 but that would be her best ;)

Peng is nothing serious IMO. She already peaked

So IMO Zheng>Na>Peng

As for Jankovic, she has NOTHING to defend before Rome 2007

Jankovic can really capitalize on a sub par beginning to 2006 next year, but after that she better have her WORK boots on. Wimbly 4th rd (or quarter), L.A. Final, USO Semi. Those are some SERIOUS points.

Daniela will break back into the top 10 next season. Jankovic could be a top 5 fixture if she'd work out her schedule :help:

For some reason, i have a feeling that it might finally be Golovin's year. We've all seen what she's capable of this year when she's healthy.
Of course Vaidisova will improve as well, and yeah Jankovic should too. The youngest Russians + Radwanska.
Hopefully Rezai as well.

yes jankovic could be dangerous in the 1st part of the season as she really has no pts 2 defend & could produce some really fantastic results in some big events with the ranking she has now & could break in2 the top 10. just the mental blocks r what's blocking a path 2 the top 5 for jelena but then again dani reached the top 5 & still couldn't overcome her mental problems at the time (but her's were not as serious as jelena's though).

thing li na could work on is her consistency on her groundies & net game.

You know, not everyone who refuses to praise Myskina over and over again even when she sucks intends to bash her.
She is my fave, btw.
And I don't want her to end her career like Majoli and Dokic: always struggling to find her old form and never succeeding in these attempts, losing to players outside Top 100, Top 200, etc.

Horrible end is better than endless horror.

true. endless horror is just crisis 4 several players & 4 nastya i don't think that will happen & plus she was also a better player than majoli & dokic. so even if nastya ends her career after hasselt she's still had some great successes like winning Roland Garros (1st russian 2 win a slam title) & 1st russian 2 win the kremlin cup. so i take my hat off 2 nastya 4 her successes in her career. :hatoff:

Chinese players are soooo overrated!

You're exaggerating, Na Li reached QF at Wimbledon this year, she's on the way up, I think she'll comfort her top 20 ranking or make it to the top 10-15.
Chinese players overrated... You won't say it anymore when they'll be at the top of the rankings...

I think Aga Radwanska, Tamira Paszek and also Vika Azarenka are the youngsters to look out for in 2007.
Also the Italian newcomers like Brianti and Knapp. And I expect Mara to improve again this year.
If Youlia Fedossova is able to keep her form, she'll be a serious contender for top 50 next year.
I think Jelena Jankovic has a big chance at the top 10 at least if she keeps some form. If she starts to play as well as she did this summer, she'll be top 5 soon for sure!

I think no one outside tennis knows Anna C.
She's going to be the new "name" player next year
