I know its early and all but I thought it would be fun to pick the winner right now! Then, in January, we will look back at this and say "I told ya' so" or "What was I thinking" :haha:
(Oh yeah and pick the finalist as well)
My pick ,based on recent form, is Maria Sharapova :ras: She will gbeta Juju in the final 5-7,6-2,6-1
I have a hunch Kim Clijsters will win. I believe she has at least another slam in her future. Australia will be a good chance because she will be fresh. It will be like 2 years ago when a re-motivated Safin wins Aussie Open.
I say this as a Justine fan. Of course I will be happy if Justine wins. If not, Anna Chakvetadze all the way!

that LONG ass # is the third set...
I think Serena will win, she's won the past 2 odd years. 2003, and 2005. She really should have won it in 2001 too, but she was deep in her choker phase.

I agree! And also if you look at her pattern this is what happens
1999-US Open Champ
2000-Nothing
2001- US Open Final
2002- Domination :armed:
2003-Slight Domination :wavey:
2004-Finalist
2005-Aussie Open Champ
2006-Nothing
So she is at least guaranteed a final next year :D !
