Thread #3!

Yep - and the last thread degenerated into pettiness by Chrissie haters and got closed.
I would just like to wish Chrissie all the best in this difficult time.

Whenever I hear the name Andy Mill, I always remember Chrissie's emotional comeback victory against Laura Golarsa(spelling????) in Wimbledon later in her career with Mill in the stands.

Wow, why bother after 18 years unless one of them wants to shack up with someone else?

I don't hate Evert.

It is pretty sad, after that long, to bail on a marriage, with
three sons who are still pretty young.

Not as if there was mention of this earlier, any signs in the
tabloids, etc., they were in trouble. She was pretty visible
at the US Open and the events around that.

Agree with the last poster.

Chris Evert is the darling of the National Enquirer. Chris could be caught driving drunk and trying to score a hooker and crack cocaine with the kids in the back seat before the Enquirer would publish something negative about her. She's right up there with Caroline Kennedy as far as the tabloids won't touch her in a negative way, at least not American ones, though the Enquirer did run an article about 6 months ago that Kennedy and husband were essentially leading separate lives, but no plans to divorce. It was a very sterile article. See also, Chris cooperates also with the Enquirer, they come over for a photoshoot after she had each kid for a little exclusive photo with some Chris-time. I imagine they'll publish a very bland article about them "growing apart" or some stuff, and that'll be it. But believe Helen because Helen knows these things, one wants to shack with someone else.

There were little rumblings a couple of years ago that they might divorce.

Yeah - I'd say that's the normal reason about 60-70% of the time.
But whatever the reason I wish Chrissie all the best.

I'll speculate, also, that one wants to shack up with someone else (and rather sooner than later). And the other one doesn't think this is such a bad idea either..

Enquirer did run an article about 6 months ago that Kennedy and husband were essentially leading separate lives, but no plans to divorce.

And then Cindy Adams wrote in the NY Post that Caroline and Ed were on vacation together in Turkey and yacht crusing for a couple of weeks. That didn't sound to me like a couple "leading separate lives."

Anyway, I'm not all that surprised that Chrissie is getting another divorce. She is well known for having a roving eye. Plus, what does he do to earn money? Chrissie is probably tired of supporting him.

I'm going to defend a Kennedy, I'm gagging a little.
Well, a lot really.

But, Caroline Kennedy has carried herself with a lot of class
most of her adult life. I don't think she's gone out of her
way to be in the paparazzi/public eye.

She's as liberal as old Teddy.

But, she's not as annoying or full of herself as he is.

Yep, I became an Andy Mill fan that day. He was really all teary in the stands because he knew that losing to Laura Golarsa in the quarters of her last Wimbledon was not how she wanted to go out. She was down like 2-5 in the third set, I believe, and then hit a series of beautiful backhands, including a little pinpoint bunt down the line that ultimately turned the momentum. Chrissie's dad was in the stands that day, too, and she said she was a bit stunned when her typically stolid father gave her a little clenched fist sign when all looked lost, and she credited that simple gesture with reawakening her legendary will.

This article was from www.tennisnews.com - implies a possible relationship with the golfer Greg Norman.

Told you she had a "roving eye."

Well, at least Norman isn't leaving his wife of 25 years for an 18 year old and ditto for Chrissy. My feeling is, if you aren't happy with a person, leave that person and move on. Nothing wrong with that. However, if Norman's wife is also his "partner" in his businesses, there could be trouble with dividing the assets. Maybe he should keep a low profile for a while.

Also, who wants to be married to a fly fisherman???:tape:

I have ALWAYS wondered what he did for a living.
This ski business was sketchy when she married him, i had never heard of him at any Ollympics etc.
Pray tell where is his income from?
