If she plays... Linz, Hasselt and possibly Quebec...

Is there even the slightest chance of her making it?

No chance in hell...she's about 1000 behind the #8 at the moment, and has only scores 855 for the year to date. ;) Even if she wins Zurich, she only gets 195 points, and Hasselt and Quebec are lower tiers...

Oh. LOL. Stupid question by me. ;)

I just thought that if she won the tier one, it would be worth more than 195 points :S

 Sorry it is... it's worth 300...I was looking at Linz draw... but she still has no chance anyway... coz as I said, she's almost 1000 behind Hingis who is at #8 now... so even if she wins Zurich and Linz = 495, she still needs 500 points from Hasselt and Quebec if she was gonna do that - she won't make it...sorry.

yeah too little too late sort of thing

DutchieGirl

well it took her almost a year to get 855 points, so I think to ask her to get 1000 from 4 tourneys is a bit much, yeah. ;) (And then it depends if Kim/Patty/Marti are also playing. ;) )

she's even quite far from bieng an alternate in case Mauresmo, Henin AND clijsters withdraw.
naive qestion, but wishful thinking is always nice.

Funny how all of you are like if she wins points here and there and all that, but none realised that Hasselt and Quebec are in the same week. :p

 hillarious. i don't mean 2 be rude or anything but dani isn't gonna make it 2 madrid. even if she does win zurich, linz & hasselt which takes her pts total to 615, it isn't gonna be enough 4 her to take 8th place.

but no way would 10 players would pull out from madrid though.

There should be bonus points for beating Hofmann's Handmaiden. ;)

Well, if you consider what we've seen this year, this is not impossible :tape:

Actually when I look at the Race Standings, I don't think that it is THAT unlikely that she will qualify :p

Currently Dani is no. 20 in the Race but she's only 313 points behind Janko who is no. 12 (without the Zurich points). So after Zurich she is about 130 points or so behind Janko? So if Dani plays well in Linz and Hasselt/Quebec she could surpass her in the standings. Safina I think is out for the season so Dani is already number 11. Mauresmo and Justine are injured, Kim is also questionable, and Petrova could be exhausted from playing too much this season. If only 3 of these 4 players withdrew, Dani would be number 8 and could participate in Madrid.
