Clijsters= def.

Yeah both her and Kuzy...but I guess Kuzy is more def than CLijsters. I think both need 1 more though. Not sure. They were tough for me

Myskina definitely?

I don't know. She'll need more than around 10 titles and one slam to get into the HOF, imo.

If Pam Shriver can get in without winning a singles Grand Slam title....Myskina can. She was also the first Russian women's tennis professional to win a grand slam title.

Pam Shriver won 21 GS doubles titles, smartie.

Actually, Shriver won 22 major doubles titles: 20 with Navratilova, one with Natasha Zvereva, and one mixed with Emilio Sanchez. In 1984, Shriver and Navratilova won the first-ever Grand Slam in women's doubles. For all the people who say "doubles don't matter," Pam Shriver's career is proof to the contrary. I can almost forgive Shriver for introducing the oversized racquet to the pro game. ALMOST.

I think Clijsters is a def. #1 in both singles and doubles. GS winner and multiple time finalist. Also one of the more likeable players.

I did not say Myskina was in.

And Maybe I should have added a "skinny" on Mirza...Shes still young has game and I will not say yet she is NOT HOF.

If she does not improve at all she wont.

Clijsters I already responded to. Shes VERY CLOSE. Maybe in. Sveta same deal. I actually Sveta maybe should be in now. She will probably win another slam so, if she does...my bad on her.

The rest Im comfortable with.

I put alot of youngsters in inbetween becouse jury still out.

Swami...How can you cross out Nicole? You donot think she will win any slams in her career?

How can Vaidisova and Golovin be a def and Clijsters an inbetween? No matter if you like or dislike Kim you should still give her some credit for beeing number 1 in both singles and doubles, winning the YEC two times, winning the US open in singles and some GS's in doubles + all those singles titles :wavey:
Sveta should be in too ;)

well, you're obviously very biased. if you dont want people to jump all over you, then dont make such :weirdo: statements

how can slamless vaidisova and golovin be definites and kim, sveta be "in between", and worse, myskina a definite no

no matter how much you think they will achieve in the future, as of now, they are nowhere close to the achievements of kim, sveta and myskina

A def (definite/definitely) should be reserved for those who at this point are pretty sure to get in the Hall of Fame based on their results and the history of those who have been inducted to the HOF.

Unless of course you have some unusual criteria.

Sabatini was the last woman inducted. Based on that, you'd think Kim is a pretty good candidate already.

These days, Hall of Fame hardly means anything. You used to need to be an alltime great, now I bet all of the one slam wonders of this generation will get in.

Viktymise
Oct 22nd, 2006, 11:05 AM
You cant call anyone without a slam a definate and someone with a slam a no  Myskina will get in because shes a slam champ, plus if lenaD wins a slam her in her career shell be in there too, Clijsters is a definate, LenaD has a much better chance to be in the than 3 quaters of the ppl you put inbetween

Viktymise
Oct 22nd, 2006, 11:09 AM
Plus i think anyone with a slam deserves to be in there, it would show that winning a slam is pretty much the best thing you can do in tennis

Since when does 'likeable' get you in the HOF? I did not know that was a requirement.

Clijsters will definitely get in, in addition to her 1 GS, she's been the runner-up at 4 others, won the Tour Champs twice and has been #1

:spit: at Golovin and Vaidisova being definites :tape:

Anyone with less than 4 Slams should NOT be in the Hall Of Fame! The tennis HOF has become a pathetic joke.
