Yes, but that's one of my least favorite Lena D. pics.

Still that's 7 straight for those of us who are counting. And for those of you who aren't, since it confirms Lena's Top Tenness (no pun intended).

great article. like it how they catergorize the players who r qualified, who r certain, who needs a miracle + withdrawl etc.

pity Bartoli isn't in the top 8 - that would certainly be a withdrawal of great mass

The awful thing is that a mass withdrawal is looking a possibility. What kind of credibilty would the "Championships" have if 2 women with most appearances in Slams finals this year were not present,, together with one of the few other players that could be considered "Champion" quality, (CLijsters)?

It would mean that Hingis gets in, which would be great, but with just her and Sharapova as the only real champs (and Sveta) the tournament loses a hell of a lot of pulling power.

Of course, the players´ bodies are the most important thing, long term, I just hope that if anyone misses the YEC it is because they are truly injured, and that they arenot just avoiding it as a "precautionary" thing.
