We all, some more than others, blindly defend our faves actions even when sometimes their actions are inexcusable. So to lighten up the mood, let's name dubious achievements for our favorite players. In case you don't know what a dubious achievement is, it is something a player has "achieved" that they wouldn't necessarily be proud of. Here's mine:

Venus Williams is the first woman to lose in 5 consecutive Grand Slam finals :worship:

Your turn :)

Although Serena is 25, she still plays the schedule of a player under AER. Since turning pro in 1995 to 2006, Serena has played less than 70 tournaments her entire career. That's an average of less than 10 tournaments a year.

No woman in the Open era has failed to convert more championship points in a Slam final than Hingis did in the 2002 Australian Open final (4). :bigcry:

Ugh, it wasn't just the clay allergy that developed, also Lindsay's...um...attitude towards players that get everything back.

I have inherited this allergy to clay through her. Amelia Island is the only clay court event I can watch her play without breaking out into hives. :tape:

My beloved Lena set the standards for worst slam finals of the decade (if not the new century) in Paris in '04.

Then, thankfully, JHH went to the Aussie Open and quit. Of course, unlike Elena, JHH did at least show up.

That is actually quite sad. She should think about winning one this year. I still think she can. :bounce: As for Roland Garros, that's actually rather shocking. I mean, as much as she complains about clay, that isn't all that bad.
