Ana wins Tennis Channel's "Hotties" award
October 18, 2006 /

Thanks to the voting of her loyal fans, Ana won The Tennis Channel's "Hotties" award, an online poll of the best-looking tennis players.

"This is very flattering," said Ana. "It shows that people are watching my tennis. It also shows that I have great fans. Probably they all voted for me so I could win this! So I am very grateful to them."

Over 200,000 votes were cast, with Ana's doubles partner Maria Kirilenko finishing second. Another Russian, Maria Sharapova, was third.

In the last 12 months Ana has been named sexiest player by ******************** and finished second in ACE Magazine's Hot List. She was also named "Miss Fed Cup" for the Europe/Africa Zone Group I.

It's not ana's fault that she won! and she deserves it. If she has fans that are so out there willing to support her even though she's still young, that says a lot about her personality and tennis.

Congrats Ana!

If that's supposed to be a dig at Maria, remember, she had won a Grand Slam, a YEC, and been number 1 in the world when she said it.;) Ana...?
