View Full Version : Player(s) who deserve their own forum

With the recent emergence of upcoming WTA stars I think it's time to add more sub-forums for the deserving ones. Here are some that just came to mind:

Caroline Wozniacki
Bottom line is, she has a lot of fans. Her cheering thread under "rest of the world" has gathered more than 2000 posts. That's more than many many players who have their own forums. Given her potential in tennis and her charm and personality, I see another Cocktail Party in the making.

If it's too much to give her a stand-alone forum, how about a new forum called Tennis Scandinavia? This would incorporate Caro's sub-forum plus those for Sofia Arvidsson and Emma Laine, both are also deserving.

Elena Vesnina
She has lots of potential, just look at her recent match with Mauresmo and her 4th round debut at Aussie Open '06. Not to mention great beauty and the half of one of the most promising new doubles team. It's beyond me that Bardina and Pavleychenkova have their own forums under RR but not Lena V.

Radwanska sisters
They have a cheering thread under Tennis Poland. Right now, only Domachowska has her own sub-forum. Aga is already #1 in Poland so it's time for an upgrade. She has enormous potential and already a sizeable fan base.

Bondarenko sisters
They each has a cheering thread under Tennis Ukraine, but no personal forums. They have been doing great. Alona already won a tier II. I can see tremendous growth of their fan base in '07.

Tennis Austria
The revival of Austrian tennis led by Tamira Paszek and Sybille Bammer has attracted a lot of attention. Promising juniors like Nikola Hofmanova are a plus. This will also give Barbara Schett a permanent home.

I am sure there are other deserving players that I overlooked, so let me (and our esteemed Admins) know what you think.
