LONDON (AP) -- Pete Sampras has pulled out of next week's Queen's Club grass-court tournament, marking only the second time since 1989 he will miss the Wimbledon warmup event.

Pete should be able to get past the first round at Wimbey.
I think.

Didn't Pete choose to play at Gerry Weber Open, in Halle, Germany instead?

At this stage, Pete may need the grass court practice before, his possible last, Wimbledon.

Tee Rexx- why are you suggesting it would be his last?

He says he intends to play on for a couple more years.

Unless this is just you assuming things again.

Rebecca - I do not think that a player, who has been at the top for so long, will continue to subject himself to humiliating first and second round losses.

Say good bye to Pete.
