WB02 = CURR - WB01 RK NAME
==== = ==== = === == =========
4686 = 4926 - 0240 S.WILLIAMS - Serena could reach #1
without winning Wimby.
Venus would have to not
win it either.

4299 = 5205 - 0906 V.WILLIAMS - Stays #1 by making the finals

3744 = 3744 - 0000 M.SELES - #1 if she wins the tournament,
and Venus and Serena lose early.

3683 = 4131 - 0448 J.CAPRIATI - #1 if she wins the tournament,
and Venus and Serena lose early.

There's a 600 point gap here

3097 = 3474 - 0377 K.CLIJSTERS
2814 = 2816 - 0002 M.HINGIS - No Wimby
2758 = 3004 - 0246 J.DOKIC
2637 = 3350 - 0713 L.DAVENPORT - No Wimby

2454 = 3286 - 0832 J.HENIN
2065 = 2181 - 0116 S.TESTUD

Notice that even without last year's Wimby points, this is still the top ten. So I'm not going to worry about the rest of the world right now. Here's the CURRENT ranking of the next five.

1784 11 A.MAURESMO
1692 12 D.HANTUCHOVA
1662 13 S.FARINA-ELIA
1545 14 E.DEMENTIEVA
1402 15 M.SHAUGHNESSY

Remember, Justine won 's-Hertergenbosch (?) and made the WImby finals. Big points. But the #8 seed at Wimby is just as good as #5. And next year at Roland Garros time, Justijne will enjoy the advantage Venus had this year.

Seles, ouch is right, because it's wrong, but still ouch.

Volcana, sorry for having to correct you.

You made slight mistakes on these players' totals to take off:

J.HENIN

Wimbledon 608
's-Hertogenbosch 224

Total 832

J.DOKIC

Wimbledon 142
's-Hertogenbosch 104

Total 246

Darkheart - Hope you're right. I'm too tired to check YOUR math. Changes made on faith. Nighty-night.

Monica has more points than Jennifer?!!? That just seems so strange to me... What's up with that?

Volcana

tommyk75 - Monica didn't play Wimby last year.

Volcana, I know. I'm looking at the totals with the Wimbledon points not counted. I just would've thought Jennifer would've had a lot more points than Monica in that time period...

That just angers me that Monica didn't work harder on her fitness since the stabbing...I mean, she's had soooo many chances at grand slam titles and number one rankings!! Oh well, I guess I should just be happy she's still playing!

but the fact is no matter how hard she works,
age is still a factor.....................
i guess her dominance at youth does has a toll on a her body now,
she is late bloomer like Natalie T and Sandrine,
what she is doing now is already quite impressive IMO....:)

Navratilova, in her incandescent season of 1983, went 86-1. The following year she was a sporty 78-2. Graf was 86-2 in 1989 and 75-2 in 1987. Twice, Navratilova finished a season with only three losses (90-3 in 1982 and 89-3 in 1986), while Graf (72-3 in 1988) did it once. Chris Evert (56-3 in 1978) is the only other woman to get through a season with only three losses.

THAT'S DOMINATION!
