Menard arrives late in Vienna

After enjoying a runner-up finish in Surbiton, UK, Brazilian teenager Caroline Menard went to the beautiful beaches of Cote D'Azur to get her mind a bit off tennis and enjoy the beautiful paisage at the French paradisiac city of Nice.

Gisele Noventz advances at Vienna

VIENNA - Top seeded at Vienna's tournament, Gisele Noventz struggled but could handle the match against Spain's Syria Gonzalez in a three setter tie break.

"I think she played very well. She has a great clay game, like all Spaniards do" said Noventz about the young Spanish.

And now Noventz will face another Spain's hope, Marta Maria Conde-Martinez on next round.

"I don't know what to expect. She is Spanish, I should be careful" advicing herself of the danger of facing an Spanish player on clay.

"Im so happy to be doing well here. It was really disspaointment to lose so early at the French Open, but the good game i had in Surbiton and on grass gave me confidence here. I just wanted to play one more clay tournament before the Wimbledon to gain confidence. I hava played doubles with Carmen before and we got a final so its great playing together again." said Anabel.

"Oh, well i am happy with my performance. Gisele is a pro player who is in the top 20 and it was a tough match, plus i won my 1st round so i am happy. A bit sad due doubles because Syria and me have good results in juniors, but we were playing the top seeds so it is a good score." said Marta Marí

"Im so happy with my performance here. I am playing a good tennis and i am full of confident. I have never lost to Tanya so i hope tomorrow wont be the first time. Im really looking forward my 2nd title."

Omg !! Finally! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
:sad::sad::sad: Tanya cant control her sobbing ,she has finally proved her salt by beating Gisele after losing to her a zillion times.*sob* omg This is great. omg gisele I know ure a great player and will beat me many more times ,but I just got through this time around.

Though Tanya expects to be man-handled in straight sets by Miss Condi in the next match ,she's happy she atleast made it there . Tanya is improving and she'll try to get a title next time around ;)

Though Gisele is happy for me (which just shows the kind of player she is ) , I know of many other players who want me to lose always ,as they see me as a threat to them ,but I will not pay attention to them ,and give in my best every week.

Conde Martinez wins 2nd career title

Anabel Conde Martinez has won today her 2nd career title, the 2nd in less than a month after she also won in Madrid.
Anabel was always dominating the match against Tanya Hingis, a player who has never defeated Conde Martinez before.

"It was really easier than i expected. I have played Tanya before, but it was not as easy as today. Its great to win my second tournament, i think my game has finally exploted and i am playing at a great level. This will help me also for my goal of the season, which is to finish as a top 10."

In dobles Anabel & countrywoman Carmen Prado were defeated in 2 tought sets in the final by Menard/Noventz 7-6 7-6.

"Well we played a good match, but i think i was a bit tired after my singles final. Anyway it was the 2nd time i played with Carmen and in both we reached the final".

Anabel will play now in Eastbourne as a preparation for the up-coming Wimbledon.
