(Trans World Sport may be televised in other countries, but the details in this message are specific to the UK.)

There is one point from the US Open final between Maria Sharapova and Justine Henin-Hardenne in this week's Trans World Sport, which is repeated with sign-language at 2:40am BST on {Wednesday night/Thursday morning} on Channel 4.

The tennis was 1 minute into Sunday's broadcast of Trans World Sport, so I recommend 2:40am as a safe start-time for timer-record.

The point they showed:

* Maria serving 6-4 5-4 (40/15): Maria hit a body-jamming serve, Henin a short forehand return inside the service-line; Maria hit a backhand that landed near the 'T' of the service-boxes, and Henin netted a forehand, whereupon Maria sank to her knees in celebration of her second Grand Slam title, and lowered her head in prayer.

They also televised a bit of her press-conference:

"There's nothing like winning your first major, erm... but to win your second is, is also a, er, you know, it's kind of like a cherry on the cake, but er, there are a lot more cherries that I'm gonna put on that cake, so looking forward to, er, having them."

The haters like to use this quote to make Maria seem arrogant, but the way she said it, she didn't really come across that way. I'm looking forward to those cherries too, 'cause they taste so sweet! :D
