If she wins Roland Garros, Serena will break the curse:) If it happens, just blame Richard;)

By the way, was it Steffie or Seles who won the Italian Open and RG in the same year? and what year? I am thinking 1990.:)

If anyone can break a curse, it's the Williams Sisters. Tomorrow will certainly be a fine match.

I hope she also breaks the Roland Garros curse by winning the French Open and another title in the same year!

1997 - Iva Majoli
1998 - Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario
1999 - Steffi Graf
2000 - Mary Pierce
2001 - Jennifer Capriati

Dawn, it was Seles! :wavey: She was so skinny then! And Monica would have won 15 to 20 grand slam singles titles, if not for that nut who stabbed her in Hamburg.

Monica broke it in 1990, and stopped Gaby from breaking it in 1991 SF and 1992 SF.

conchita was well and truly cursed, winning rome four years in succession and coming unstuck in three RG semi finals and a RG quarter final :(
