I am truely torn between which sister I want to win. Though I've always liked Serena, she's never held a candle to Venus in my eyes. Slowly, Serena has eaten away at my heart, and I want her to win another major this year. I will be torn between the two of them on Saturday because it's been such a long time for Serena, and she's played so hard and committed herself so much this year. On the other hand, Venus has also committed herself, and she's playing very hard too. It doesn't make it any easier that neither sister has won at the French Open before. I don't like feeling this way. I can't really decide who I want to win now. If Venus loses, then there always seems to be Wimbledon and US Open for her. I just don't know. Whoever loses, I know they will feel bad because they've both played better than ever before at RG, and it will be a let down.

GOOD LUCK TO VENUS AND SERENA IN THE FINALS. MAY THE BEST PLAYER ON THAT DAY WIN!

Even though I want Serena to win Im going to pull for whoever shows the most heart and tries the hardest to take it! Because in the ened whoever fights the hardest is the one who deserves it.

May the best player, on that day, be the winner.
Also, there are two more slams this year as well.

I know how you feel Daniel. I think it's so tough for me this time because both women have tried so hard this year at the French Open, and it's going to be bittersweet for me whoever wins.

Hail I so agree with this topic. I just am torn between two Williams. I do feel that when crunchtime comes though that deep down I know a part of me, will be wanting Venus to take home this grandslam. I really want Venus to win the French Open, I want her to get 5 slams. Let Serena have Wimby and the US Open.;)

Oh but hey Serena worked hard for this, and she deserves it as well.

Please, please let Serena win. I can see in her eyes how badly she wants this.

I just hope serena wins. she deserves another grand slam so bad:)
I hope too that it's a great match and we get rid of all the crap that they don't play when facing each other for good:)

I want Venus to win. There's little doubt in my mind at this point.

What makes the difference for me is their attitudes. While I think that both of them have great attitudes period, Venus seems to have the bigger heart. I've heard her say things like she feels confident that Serena will reach #1, how she wants Serena to do her best, and other positive things about Serena and the Williams family. Serena, OTOH doesn't really mention Venus like that. Serena seems to be more concerned about her own progress and achievements. It was like that at other tournaments where they were pitted against each other. I don't want to come across as knocking Serena in any way, because I love her to death. But Venus seems to sincerely almost care more for Serena than herself. Venus has a huge heart, and that's why I want her to win.

Bright Red, that's just because Venus is the big sister. That is how big sisters think, and I am speaking from experience here. Serena is younger and esp. in a large family, the younger kid is always scrambling to catch up.

that being said, I want Venus to win too. :)

I want Serena to win the French. Then I want another All Williams Final at Wimbledon where I will be TOTALLY NEUTRAL :hearts:

I am not torn -- my loyalties lie with Big sis. I so want her to teach lil sis a clay court lesson... Have you noticed that she is not hitting the ball as hard as she normally does throughout this fortnight ???? hmmm...

Go Venus!!!!

Serena really needs this one. She hasn't gotten one in 3 years. Hopefully she can stop the queen, because it would be such a shame if a player as good as her can't win a slam. Venus really doesn't have anything to prove, so I'm going with Serena. Vee can take Wimby.

I think you're right about the big sister thing. That's how it is in my family too. Oh well, as long as the champ's last name is Williams, I won't be disappointed.

Vee does have something to prove. She wants to prove to herself and everyone that she can win the French Open Championship. So does little sis' Serena. The thing that is making it so hard for me is that they both want it so much, and their efforts have taken them all the way to the finals where one of them will have to lose. Neither of them have ever won here, so that makes it much harder for me to just go with one over the other. Plus, Serena's little face will show so much pain if she loses because she's tried so hard. I love that her emotions can be read so clearly by looking at her face. I think that deep down inside, I'll probably cheer for Venus. She's the one that won me over first.

I so know how you feel, I am totally torn. Serena has played so well this year, I think she just deserves to finally break through and end her slam drought.

But I really want Venus to win this. She'll have 5 slams and then be missing only one. So I've gotta cheer for her, I guess. I would like her to win RG and Wimbledon, back to back.

But I will definetly cheer for Serena more at the USO or OZ though

I'm rooting for Venus, because a fifth Slam will get her into the Top 20 in terms of all-time Grand Slam titles! History in the making.

Hey Hail, Vee's face will show pain too. didn't you see MTV Diary? Venus staring at her racket looking like she was about to cry was a sad sight to see.

Anyway Goodluck to both sisters for tomorrow. :)

Venus has developed a cold blooded attitude towards her opponents, including her sister, in the finals of tourneys. I don't see Venus letting up at all towards Serena.

However, if Serena is going to win, she must have that same cold blooded approach towards Venus and cut down on her errors.

I got a feeling folks that this will be an epic match going to 2 tiebrakers and 8-6 in the third set.

LET'S GET IT ON!!!!!!!

I think VEE will have to try again next year. At first I wanted Venus to get it... but Serena has been way too impressive. She was a game away from being out of contention for the title, and cameback to KNOCK a STUBBORN DEFENDING CHAMPION OUT!! :)

So GO Serena Williams... it's yours. ;)
