They better extend their coverage

is everybody worried they'll miss a ton of the match between 6pm and 7 pm?
bc that's when coverage starts on usa.

they'll probably move serena/ana to another court. if agassi and roddick take too long.

If they dont, USA should pick it up. Thats a great match for TV Ratings.

Maria has her own broadwayshow, but this one is better...Beauty and the Beast!

i'd think they'd delay it for tv or move it to another court so it can be on tv.
that's what i meant.

USA can exempt any show they are showing to show live tennis, they've done it before.

they won't move it to another court, what's the point, they need to televise it?

I think it will extend until 7 at least as CBS only has local news and no network news on sunday. It will largely depend on the local affiliate that may cut to their local news.

I have never wished for Roddick to serve his way through the match more and pull that magical backhand to break him fast. Anyway Roddick likes to run quickly through his match so I am hopeful

you don't know much about how major tournaments are run if you don't think they move big matches to smaller courts so they can be on tv. it doesn't make much difference to a tv audience what court a match is played on anyway.

but that won't be the case today bc someone will extend or someone will pick up. all the courts are packed today.

Matches get moved because of time constraints but what's the point of moving it if they are already televising Roddick vs Verdasco match?

cbs just said that they would show serena timing permitted. so if roddick vs. verdasko goes past six they will not air it. i am sure usa will air it though

Maybe not.
Roddick is up a break in the 4th, and seems to be carrying a lot of momentum. If this set can finish within the next 15-20 minutes, CBS showing Serena is still a SLIGHT possibility...

Just trying to be as optimistic as psosible..

Why were two men's matches scheduled back to back anyway? Isn't it usually either a Women's match sandwiched by two Men's, or vise versa?

Me thinks this:
A. if the Roddick match doesn't end by 6pm they'll go beyond the coverage window until USA picks up the coverage at 7.
B. the Serena/Ana match starts before 6, they'll go beyond the coverage window too.
C. if the Roddick match is still going on late (after 6pm) Serena/Ana will go on late therefore most likely pushing the two night matches back. I doubt they would move Serena/Ana to an outer court that is probably already lined up with the backlogged matches because of the rain.

Serena/Ana will be moved to either Grandstand or Armstrong, they can't put her after Andy/Verdasco match b/c they need to get the Day session crowd out of Ashe and let the night crowd in.

yeah you're right...I think for the night session people are usually allowed to enter the stadium at 6:00PM maybe 6:30PM if there is no match and it has been cleared out for a while.

If they do move, it's going to be move to Grandstant which Murray is destroying Gonzalez up two breaks. But this means i wont get to see that match because you have the roddick match and the nadal match and then the masha match (:)). I really want to see serena play because i haven't seen her play once this whole US Open. I want to see how well she is playing and how much better Masha is playing, so masha can take her down in the Semis? well GL Serena
