the Linz / Zurich / Hasselt lists is not complete - it is only partial - that is why the thread title says "Complete Up To Moscow / Bangkok"

also if Petrova is not playing Beijing / Lux /Hasselt, why is she on the committment lists?

WTA policies. :p

WTA policies. :p

you mean the same WTA policies that Lindsay spoke about
I thought each Gold Exempt player just had to sign up for a certain amount of tournaments. It seems that Nadia signed up for more than her fair share of tournaments already so I don't understand why the WTA made her sign for Beijing / Lux

but if you know this for sure let me know and maybe I will remove her from the 1st post  :wavey:

Looking for a revival in ALG's form in Bali!!!!Although i think she should skip Stuttgart and Hasselt.Too much play that would make!!!!and she should really pullout of a couple of double events and the Usopen doubles as well so she can do well in the fall.

Can't wait 4 kim 2 play in hasselt & overcome her injury woes once & 4 all.
interesting 2 see mauresmo go over & play in beijing as she rarely plays in asia.

petrova's schedule is just absolutely over the top, playing so many tourneys in a row can make u fatigued & possibly risk getting injured if u ask me. u think she would be much smarter than that. alot of the top players plan their schedules very carefully besides from her, although maybe she's playin alot of tourneys because of the WTA policy or whatever is.

Top 25 dont play in Bangkok ?????

Probably not. Not many of the top players play the Asian leg, as they are lower tier tourneys. Plus Bangkok is a Tier 3 and is in the same week as Tier 1 Moscow...

I'm so happy Sharapova is playing Moscow again. She'll hopefully be less nervous and less overwhelmed by the experience so that she can play very well and win the title.

I'm also happy to see her play Moscow again, last year was a disaster, the injury really didn't help.

Let's hope this year will be different :)

I would think Martina will play...of course who knows where her head is right now but she has won this event, she loves the indoor season, and I imagine she will pick up another tier 1 event to her schedule since there is only Zurich at the moment...

I love Na Li's schedule. She picked very smart tournaments. Winning 95 pts from a Tier IV as opposed to be crushed in a 2R of a Tier 1 and only earning 42, Na Li will easily move up the rankings this fall. Likewise, she should win the Guangzhou title again. Everyone else has pretty similar schedules. Same concept of Na Li's can be held to Hingis. An easy 215 pts she will be collecting from Kolkata [ 120 ] and Seoul [ 95 ]. But by not risking top tournaments, Hingis may be risking Top 5 as Kuznetsova played so horribly in 2005 that she has points to earn until the end of the season.
