It's not only raining but it appears so windy, so I was wondering who would be helped or hurt by the wind.

i think Lindsay doesn't like playing in windy condition, that why she doesn't like to play in Miami

Justine hates wind, as does Federer. OTOH Andre is probably the best player in the wind I've seen.

those with risky games will struggle.

The players who have really bad wind I hope they don't fart when they run near my side of the court. One time Davenport let off this real stinker. I swear I could taste it at the back of my throat for days.

patty will suck in the wind. so if she plays today, she'll continue losing.

no offense, but sharapova hits a lot of on the line shots and from all the windy matches she's played, she's been bad!

didn't she get double bagelled in the wind as well?

I agree Maria is generally not good in the wind. And yes, it was windy on that special March day in 2005.

Even speaking as Maria fan, I've always felt that windy conditions are very bad for her.

Two examples of extremely windy matches...

Nasdaq 100 - Miami 2005 - FINAL
Kim CLIJSTERS def. (2) Maria SHARAPOVA 6-3, 7-5

Pacific Life Open - Indian Wells 2005 - SEMI-FINAL
(1) Lindsay DAVENPORT def. (3) Maria SHARAPOVA 6-0, 6-0
