Yeah and I am gonna be on top of it all the way over the atlantic. Iīd love that!

However by the time the roof and I will arrive, the US Open would be over by then.

Instead of building a retractable roof over at least one of the bigger courts USTA uses (read wastes) its money on these stupid circus-like, loud side-entertainment
What is even more :weirdo: that they don't cover the courts when it starts raining. It would take a lot less time to dry them if they did but I guess they haven't thought about it nor seen how this is done at other GS.

Covers are meaningless, when you can have this :tape:

I actually once asked an USTA guy during a stadium tour about that procedure, or lack thereof. I was like "I do love the towels cause it looks funny but why donīt you guys just cover the courts while itīs raining, it would be faster?" He just shrugged his shoulders and said they didnīt have to cause it isnīt grass..

poor thread! :o
Is it worse than all the other poor threads? I thought it would blend in.

They now have these expensive golf cart drying thingies. A simple cover would have been a lot more efficient and far cheaper.

Well that was a weird answer since they cover the courts at RG which is least affected by a rain since clay absorbes the water rather quickly unless it's a really heavy, long lasting rain.
