Let's be realistic , it should be rather close match if they are on and weather doesn't mess up

Not convinced by Serena being in shape. I think if the play is cancelled, she gets another day off and combined with the NYC crowd, it should be enough to pull her off. I haven't got a chance to see Ivanovic play this tournament so I am not sure if she's hitting as cleanly as she was in Montreal. Somehow, I don't think it will live up to the hype as I think whoever wins, it will be a blowout.

Sorry, but it only makes sense for Ana to win this one.

Serena's movement is anything but impressive right now- Hantuchova would have won in straights had she not gone stupid on herself in the first set against Serena. Ana will expose Serena's weakness in movement, and beat Serena in two powerful, straight sets.

I believe Serena will win, it's too bad that two of my faves have to meet this early, I believe either of them could go far in this tournament if they were drawn differently.

Serena's serve is more consistent and she will be harder to break. Serena has had a lot of rest and has experience on her side. But, Ivanovic won't give it away, I hope it will be a mouthwatering match with a thrilling end.

Did we see the same Serena in the Hantuchova match guys?:eek: Dani was having her way all the time. Serena was trying to run, but was really slow. She was not aggressive. Her serve was really good but breakable nonetheless, and she was shanking the ball every fifth point.

Serena CAN win, but she will have to step it up...a lot.

Serena has the family curse working against her, she nor Venus have ever won a slam where both didn't enter. I don't really believe in curses, but if Serena loses this tournament, it would seem rather spokey that this phenomenon continues to occur.
