there are lots of upcoming players from china but I fear that they may not be able to take that next step toward being a real factors. They have some issues with their trainings, coaches and schedules, lack of individuality and so on. It'll be a long time before they are contenders

Sun and Yan are certainly not cannon fodder. They are dangerous players who hardly ever get crushed in a match.

Meng Yuan, on the other hand, has no business being in the Top 100 and should soon drop back to higher ITFs and qualifying events.

Shuai is really impressive and should get back to the Top 50 without a problem.

Shuai will definitely break back into the top 50 soon.

Sun and Yan could also break into the top 50 if they gained some consistency, however that remains to be seen.

I think Peng can get back to where she was last year, and Yan can use her doubles skills to help her in singles. They're all good players though, have lots of potential.
