I just saw the weather forecast for the NYC area and the heavy rain is headed to NYC for tomorrow, so unless there is a drastic change in the weather in the next 12 hours, don't expect to see any tennis on Saturday.

The night matches have a 3-5% chance of happening, the day matches have .5%.

Yes

Maria, Andy and Andre on Ashe court during the day session. Serena and Nadal are on Ashe for the night session.

Yup. It's time to build an Arc or something.
Ernesto is moving so slowly it's gonna be a while. God only knows what Agassi matches we're gonna have to suffer thru tomorrow. Sunday will be better, scattered showers, but it should be okay. And then probably by middle of next week there should be a front coming thru so yeah, most likely more rain...blah.

Yes there is an OOP and no, no matches will get completed.

I really think the night matches have a chance of being completed, according to The Weather Channel(which I don't particular like), by 8 PM tommorow the chance of showers is down to 40% and by 10 PM down to 30%.

Hopefully the night matches will be played. I could care less about the day session matches

I wonder whether they will show Andre vs. Pavel for the 7th time or Baggy v. Andre for the 3rd time. It will be an all day affair:rolleyes:

Well that's something. I just really hope they get in Serena vs. Ana. That's gonna be so awesome. :D

i predict if night session happens, it will be exactly what it would've been today since those matches will need to get done more...

as long as sunday night is good i'm happy since that's when i'm going!

The night matches are Serena vs. Ana and Nadal vs. Moodie and that isn't changing.

I'm changing my weekend plans to go to the Open on Monday. It's gonna be an awesome day on the outside courts if all weekend is rained out. Imagine you could easily have (just for example) Serena, Sharapova, Roddick, Agassi, Blake on Ashe, Mauresmo, Federer, Nadal and Henin on Armstrong, Davenport, Safin, Hewitt/Djokovic and Kuznetsova on Grandstand, Dementieva, Haas, Murray and Pierce on court 11..etc..

A few years ago in a similar rainy year I saw Mauresmo-Clijsters on court 10, and then Hantuchova-Henin on court 11 -- I highly recommend anyone who can get tickets for Monday!

Not going to happen. No tropical system on my memory has stayed over this area for more than 24 hours. 220 miles south from NYC there is no more rain. The storm moves at about 11 mph. 220/11 ~ 20h.. Meaining.. The play will start tomorrow around 6-7pm , they will reschedule all singles matches, so there will be like 16 courts playing singles matches simlultaneously... Just magic.. :) By midnight all matches planned for tomorrow will be completed. Sunday will be usual Sunday with Saturday's doubles leftovers. Monday will be it is usual nothing special with only 3 singles matches planned for Armstrong Stadium and 5 for Ashe.

Lindsay is in the other half of the draw which has already been completed so they will have to get her match in first along with Safin's.

NOOO :help: I'm pretty tired of Agassi matches.

I hope they'll get SOMETHING in, it doesn't seem too likely though :(

I just watched all three local NY weather reports and all three said that the rain will taper off by late afternoon(one was specific and said 4 PM). So the chances of some tennis are getting better and better.

No way I am watching that again. I wasn't even going to watch the day session with Andy and Andre scheduled. Since Andy has been with Connors he is getting on my last nerve with that chest thumping and fist pumping. I hated watching Connors matches

I don't mind fist pumping its when they do it and give dirty looks to their opponents. I guess since I started watching tennis in the old days, I am not used to the in your face tennis. I like Nadal off the court but I don't like to watch him play.

I don't mind the dirty looks...I don't really even think of them like that, I probably give people looks like that all the time

Well you're following the weather more closely... I'll hold off on buying the Monday tickets until Sunday afternoon.. see how the weekend goes. If you're able to see tennis tomorrow, have fun.
