View Full Version : Should I blame Nicole Pratt?

I think Milagros Sequera did not play her best in her game against Nicole Pratt. And as a supporter, we should try to point out what lack in her game but not just always praise her loses.

Is there any better way to support Milagros? Because I acknowledged is that for their own good, but I feared does this can cause you to be discontented.

Nicole Pratt really broke my hope. Am I going too far if I blames her? I whether or not plays the tennis to Pratt the form to make the challenge? Because I think she can defeat Pratt, and then should plays well in the next round (in the second round of US Open 2006 competition) or after. But she can't do it fairly, really extremely satirizes!

What do you think?

I saw Milagros play in the 50k in the bronx and she was sooo bad. She lost big time in straight sets against Julie Ditty and has no weapons or power at all, way worse then even a Camille Pin. The only way i think she wins is when others pay really bad and make tons of errors

I'm sorry but some more advices needed. If Milagros plays the tennis to which she can (the kind when she beat Lucic in challenger competition 2003) then I know she can beats Nicole? But really too much power from her?

pierce can pressure it up with matches on all and no days so milagros can also it. she makes it! she does it and makes it. milagros can happen. no complaint.

blame it sometimes but with Pierce it is less about risk and advices with next tournament because pratt is here.

I am a fan of Nicole Pratt ever since she defeated Karolina SPREM (CRO) Tokyo qualifying tournament competitions. 2006 is the year. But really Pratt is not like Mary Pierce. I fear the retirements but she won her round at US Open 2006 to this degree! I think I should do okay there.

I never thought she had full potential right from the start of her career....She is a tennis player like Stosur and the like that are good but are not champions and thus gets knocked out of tournaments early on. Pratt is around 32 years old....She is no threat to the top players and only there to hold up the ladder. Even though i am Australian, i have never warmed to the likes of Pratt and Hewitt.

Nicole Pratt can beat the top players, Nicole beat Tatiana Goloving this year Wimbledon and made a good effort in fourth round match. Nicole Pratt can overpower some players such as Venus Williams because her forehand will let dictate play no? Was she good juniour when younger?

Nicole is very warm, and Hewitt, Australia is a hot country.... do you think Nicole PratT can win Australian Open title?

Nicole will never win the Australian Open because she doesn't have the fire power to get past the likes of Mauresmo, Davenport, Sharapova, Henin- Hardenne in the latter stages. Also like i said she is in her early thirties and not as quick as some other top ranked players

But Nicole Pratt is only 32, yes? Andre Aggassi is still playing and he is closer to 40 years age. Surely if Nicole Pratt can avoid any serious injuries and continU to work on all aspects of game ie volleys and backhand she will trouble some top players because tour is no longer what it used to be?

I think that lot of people would agree with me, and i don't know why not Nicole PRatt has not had slam breakthrough so far in her carerr... maybe make year end championships? she has no points to defend from now until december.........,.....

here are some statistics of Nicole's performance against top player:
Mauresmo leads 5-1
Serena williams leads 5-0
Venus williams lead 2-0
Davenport leads 5-0
Henin hardenne leads 5-1

There is no way that Pratt will ever be part of the elite group (she never has been) her highest ranking in singles is 35. I understand perfectly why she hasn't won a GS. We have to be realistic, she is not good enough and is to old to change. As for Agassi (36), he is a champion, he knows what it takes to be in the elite group and has done very well. you can't simply compare these two.

You make good point but we must remember that Nicole PRatt has had some good wins over top players like Maursmesmo and Henin Hardonne. And a number of her loss to Lindsay Davenport have been very close sets with lot of deuce games.... Lindsay Davenport even said herself how good Nicole Pratt was. Did you see her match when she defeated Amelie Mauresmoo,,,,,,, Nicole played the best tennis I have probable ever seen from any female ever in that match except from maybe Serena Williams against Lindsay Davenport LA final 2004. With some more coaching and practice Nicole PRatt is playing like a top 5 player... she and her coaches have big plans for next year I think.... but its opinion...... maybe you're a Nicole Pratt hater and you said you not like them in the first place, but maybe you are just a bitter fan? Were you trying to become pro tennis player in Aus just like Nicole but never made it? Possibly. Andre Agassi is still playing at close to 40 years oold and has a good chance at winning this slam, i don't see why Nicole can't pull some surprises at home slam in Janruary.

Nicole runs much like Agassi, in the way they conduct their feet sanitary. It seems only natural she would be compared in this manner!

Nicole has beaten some great players like Christne Henin-Hardenne (BEL) and Maresmo as well like you pointed. But personally will she ever be among the highest skilled players like Mary Pierce? I think not, and this has caused discontent among myself. Maybe Jelena DOKIC (AUS) will lift Australia back, it would be really excellent!

Anyone who can contact Mary PIERCE (CHN) for me would greatly appreciate a PM.

Mate, she is a good tennis player, no question but not a champion like you want her to be. She is not that good. As i said, we have to realistic about Pratt's chances in tournaments in the latter stages. Yes she has has great performances over top players but not on a consistant basis. I don't hate Pratt but i believe her game is not up to the standard of other players. Also i am not a bitter fan. Just because i have supposedly negative views about a player doesn't make me a bitter fan. Yes she is good and has done extremely well for Australian tennis but not a champion.

All I said was Nicole Pratt is a grand slam champion and you come in all this hating for now good reason. next time you enter a postitive thread to have sensible discussion with tennis fans, do NOT NEVER say such bad things. it is cruel and hurtful for players and fans of Nicole Pratt who have worked so hard all their lives to get to where she is and support her all the way to becoming champion.

pratt can hank it when its there to take and she can. she has the capable of agassi because both did lift it at precisely that time. agassi quicker consistency he brings it and pratt rises up to it to dominate opponents in same way. she has more in the game than his does. more like pierce but not as forward. pierce agassi won Australian Open so Pratt is near that right now but with more advices coming, mary can take her to title if that makes sense.

mary.pierce@yahoo.com might function as does rectal.point@mytube.com

Peak Nicole Pratt is able to challenge Serena if she is not at peak... for example if they met in !R of AUS in 07 N Pratt had good chance of winning due to Serena Rusty. Nicole Pratt has better game then even Sybille Bammer, so go figure....
