Well, Rodionova must have been overwhelmed by the score so I'm not surprised the handshake looked that way.

It's not that bad. However, Rodionova is not a popular player on the tour with her peers.

I hope Rodionova isn't trying to look like Sammy because if she is she's failing badly!

Svetlana has never been a big smiler at the net, so this is hardly surprising.

I don't know how well Rodionova is liked in the locker room either. She's a BITCH on court, but I don't know how she is off it it. She seemed OK enough today, even applauding a few of Svetlana's good shots.

OMG are you talking about the highlight reel? Please. One of those three points she was applauding Svetlana. You can't be a bitch when you're getting run around during a point. She's had some less than stellar on-court moments before, but she was fine today.

for her standards i thought she was quiet low key today iv seen her much bitchier, she played well in the 1st set that helped probably

rodionova is not a bitch. lay off.
she's competitive and doesn't stand for umpire and line-judge errors or crowd distractions.
i saw her versus bammer at wimbledon. she contested about three issues and was justified on each occasion. okay, so she got stroppy, but these are high-stake matches for someone who's desperately trying to raise her results a level and make the top-50.

She's a bitch! She had a go at a ball girl who was trying to get a ball in one of her matches at the AO QUALLIES for not being quick enough for her liking! Sorry, but that's just goddamn rude!

she sulks quite a bit, but i'm not sure that means she is bitchy.
she rolls her eyes a lot at small things e.g. if the opponent is towelling down, if a ball boy drops a ball, or if the umpire makes an error. but she's sort of humourous with it.

she did complain about a ball-girl at wimbledon, who ran from the netpost to collect a ball on the baseline and then returned to the netpost rather than the corner of the court. the umpire told her to wait before serving her second serve, and she promptly served a double fault, blaming the ball-girl incident. but it was break-point, and the umpire's response was something like "okay, move on, it's happened" whereas Anastassia wanted to make her point.

she was also annoyed with a decision at set-point to Bammer - her ball was in for a winner, someone in the crowd called out, the umpire "over-ruled" the call to say it was good and asked for the point to be replayed. problem is, there was nothing to "over-rule" because the lineswoman signalled that the ball was good. it was an umpiring mistake. Anastassia lost the set, and then exchanged bitter words with the umpire at the changeover:

AR: How is that possible?
Ump: She made a call
AR: Who did?
Ump: She did
AR: Ask her!
Ump: I have asked her. She made a call.
AR: But she showed it good.
Ump: She called out though.
AR: How is that possible?
Ump: It happens....
AR: She doesn't know what she's doing there? You can explain to her, whilst we're having the changeover.........

Well, Rodionova is a nut and tries to cheat most of the time, so I wouldn't be surprised if she got on everybody's last nerve ;). Having said that, that handshake doesn't look cold to me?
