I noticed her name awhile back when she won a $50K event as a wildcard and I see her ranking is consistenly rising. Her results on the challenger tour seem to be really solid so I'll be looking out for her on the WTA tour soon! :)

Ciao Vale.It's about 2 years they don't train together anymore. I know Roby lives in Rome in Acquacetosa (she trains in Parioli circle with Testud and her husband Vittorio Magnelli),while Pennetta trains in Milan with her coach Barbara Rossi.

Flavia pulled out a close three set win over Rita, withdrew from doubles with a wrist ailment, then lost to Lindsay 6-2,6-2. Still a successful tournament getting to the quarters. With all the tennis she's been playing I was afraid she was stretching herself too thin. :unsure:

I just hope her wrist is ok for the Open. :awww:

Flavia is having a great summer. Up to number 43 in the world. lets hope she can carry this on!

Flavia should have beaten Maggie but played loosely at crucial moments. Came back from 0-3 in the final set to even it but couldn't hold serve. Tough loss. :sad:

Does anyone know what happened to Falvia's wrist in China? I noticed she had a bandage or brace on her wrist in Sopot. Is it a reoccurring injury? Hopefully it is not too serious and she Will she won't miss any tournaments? :sad:

Also, does anyone know if she will be playing in Philadelphia? I saw her name on the invite list. This will be my only chance to catch a WTA event for the rest of the year.

Congratulations to Flavia for her victory in Zurich. I guess her injury is not that bad. She redeemed herself in the rematch with Mikaelian. I'm glad Mikaelian did not get away with three victories over Italians in one tournament.

I think Flavia's serve was only broken once. Her next match will be difficult against the speedy Sugiyama. Hope she wins, cause then she may face Schiavone... Viva Italia!
