A thread to keep up to date with Anna's playing commitments.

After the US Open Anna is going to Asia. Nice move.

18/9/06 Beijing
25/9/06 Guangzhou

23/10/06 Linz

I'm happy Anna is playing Guangzhou instead of Seoul that week. Guangzhou has a weaker field imo. Ana is not committed to Tokyo, probably to have a week to travel to Moscow for Kremlin Cup.

So Anna's ditching Luxembourg (her last points haul of 2005) in favor of China? Maybe not a bad idea. Presumably also means she's not playing Stuttgart either.

I always thought Anna should have gone on that Asian swing last year along with Kirilenko and Vaidisova as they picked up easy points while Anna struggled in Europe.

There's opportunities this fall for Anna to bolster her ranking and head towards Top 20.

.

I'd forgotten about Stuttgart:o Anna might play as she isn't playing Tokyo that week. But I'd prefer her to take a week off then play Moscow & Zurich - we will have to wait & see:)

Yes, if she's not playing Tokyo she should definitely take the week off and rest. Then she could put in a good performance in her home town of Moscow (which I'm sure she is keen to do).

Anna is on the commitment list for the Tier II at Linz, October 23.

The field looks very strong although I'm sure there will be usual withdrawals.

Anna is now listed on the commitments for Hasselt, October 30th and also apparently Zurich next week.

I'm not so sure playing Zurich is such a good idea. I think this year so far Anna has had a much better schedule than last year but she's playing a lot of matches now and I'm worried she could pick up an injury.
