Good Luck to AMY on what is the fortnight of her 20th US OPEN. Amy started playing the US OPEN when she was just a wee 14 year old prodigy back in 1987 . The year before Amy played her first USTA Tennis Tourneys ( 3 ) at the age of 13  I hope the USTA gives AMY some sort of mention for this amazing miletsone. A televised sit down interview after her 1st rd match would be a nice gesture. :D Although AMY has never been a top 10 player or been past the QTRs of a Grandslam, she has asmuch love for the game as any player i have seen play over the years. She has handled herself with dignity and class throughout her career all while keeping her fighting spirit that has kept her on tour and inside the top 100 ( non stop ) for nearly 20 years.

Good Luck to AMY! :bounce:

I wonder if Amy knows she's one away from the all-time record. Navratilova played singles at the Open 21 straight years (1973 to 1993).

I'll be cheering for Amy, not just because I often support veterans, but also I like her, she is nice and she's American :) (that's personal ;)) I'm glad that her draw is more or less okay (unlike her compatriot Meg Shaughnessy who has a good chance to meet Momo in R2 :help: )

AMY starts out her milestone US OPEN Tuesday. Hopefully she will get a nice showcourt of some sort.
