View Full Version : Do you have one arm longer than the other?

When I stand with my feet together and reach upwards with my left arm, I can just touch the ceiling. When I use my right arm, I am about 1cm short of the ceiling. I wonder why this is? The other main difference between my arms is that the right one is a lot more muscular from years of playing tennis and other sports. Can playing tennis inhibit the growth (lengthwise) of your dominant arm?

I noticed this fact several years ago but I only just thought of creating a thread about it.

my left arm appears shorter but its just cos i cant straighten it-i had a stroke when i was a baby so i have an underdeveloped left side, all my muscles are weak on that side

Or your right leg is shorter.

Now seriously, one of my shoulders is larger than the other. :)
And i had a friend who had six toes.

yes, my left arm is slightly longer than my right. mine is because i have damaged the rotator cuff in my left shoulder so my arm doesn't sit in its socket properly. hopefully when it's healed it will be back to normal :)
