Lindsay might reach a QF, which will be hard for serena, just because momoand ivanovic are a tough draw

No chance for venus for the 2nd week

Maybe Jackson will surprise, but won't get further that lindsay

Davenport has a real cozy draw. Schnyder in current form probably won't even get far enough to play her in the 4th round. The most threatening player in her quarter is Srebotnik who Davenport just beat 6-3 6-3. In contrast I really don't see either Williams sister past the 3rd round.

The other American who could do very well is Shenay Perry. Given that Mary Pierce is hardly match fit and that Na Li retired injured this week, there is no reason why Perry can't reach the 4th round here as she did at Wimbledon. She was the last American standing there, I expect her to come close at the US Open too.

The American who will have the most success at the U.S. Open will be Lisa Raymond, in doubles.

From the poll, it's Serena in singles.
