Of course it matters. He can be a jerk sometimes and he is Mr. brand marketing for the one paying him most, but he does know tennis and players in depth.
It was probabbly his own idea because he is a very greedy money grubber guy.
So maybe some subscriber will generously paste the column here sometime.

i'd say Wertheim's influence has declined over the last couple of years from a high point in '02-'03. Matt Cronin and Pete Bodo have started prominent tennis blogs that are, imo, more original and more informative than Wertheim's stuff.

I often found his colomns something that resembled what u would write when u get back from the pub totally wasted ;)

don't really care...I mean I was a tennis fan before I read his stuff, and I will still be one. and I for DAMN sure, won't pay to view his blogs.
